This 1949 Emerson was built from two parts sets, one had a good cabinet, CRT and chassis, while the other provided the back, the front plastic grille, and the knobs. This is a very attractive set and it's also very compact and lightweight

This is what it looked like before restoration.
The cabinet was sound but required a complete refinish. TheBlack border was done using spray Lacquer, the cabinet was stained and clear coated with Deft spray can Lacquer.

This is the chassis before cleaning and repairing, it looks considerably better now but I haven't taken any pictures.
This little set works well and has a nice sharp picture.
